For Arik/Eurovision Pop Fans
Credit goes to Arjanwrites for introducing me to Young Love, who I think would be *perfect* for your message board song contest, Arik.
p.s. check out the video for "Find a New Way" too.

Pronounced "Are Few", as in... There are few people who have the initials RFEW (I'm one of them). There are also (probably?) few PhDs who like to blast Clipse to get pumped to write academic prose (I'm one of them too).

Wow, this is fantastic! Probably not trashy enough to win the whole thing, but should go pretty far. Thanks!
I found another good candidate for the contest - Apologize by OneRepublic. I have to admit I have never heard of them until yesterday, when I read that their MySpace page was the most visited last year or something.
Interestingly, a remix of the song appears on Timbaland (or shall I say, Timbland) album. The remix is absolutely embarrasing. The guy simply programmed a drum machine and added a couple of moans in the background. Compare and contrast:

Yes, Apologize is a good song too. I think I fell in love with it watching Danny & Anya on So You Think You Can Dance: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w99AFyIb4vI
And yes, Timbaland did not exactly add much to the "remix". But I'm still a fan - the first half of Shock Value is great.
